Compatibility with Previous
and Future Versions
The Siemens APOGEE automation system has been
designed to be both forwards and backwards
compatible. This means that a field panel
purchased ten or fifteen years ago will still be
compatible with additional Siemens automation installed today or in the future.
Siemens has the longest compatibility record of any
single designed system. DDC systems that Energy
Control & Design installed in the 1980s are still
operating and being expanded upon.
This is a very cost-effective feature that ensures
ease of future facility expansion as your
facility grows, or modification as your needs
change.
